Burrata Caprese Salad
This beautiful Summer salad is made using juicy heirloom tomatoes, creamy burrata cheese and fresh basil leaves. It is the perfect starter for your next Italian feast!

Ingredients

large
heirloom tomatoes
sliced into 0.5cm slices
1
handful
fresh basil
1
ball
burrata
sea salt flakes
to taste
cracked black pepper
to taste

tablespoons
extra virgin olive oil
1
tablespoon
balsamic glaze
Instructions
Arrange the slices of tomatoes on a serving platter along with the basil.
Season liberally with salt and pepper and a generous drizzle of extra virgin olive oil.
Place the ball of burrata in the centre of the salad.
Use a knife to slice through the soft outer casing of the burrata ball to expose the creamy insides.
Serve fresh.

Serving Suggestion
Caprese salad is traditionally served as a starter or appetiser. Serve either before or alongside pizza or pasta.
